Ihla Grande is located 70 kilometers south from Río de Janeiro . It takes approximately 25 minutes to get from the continent to the island, depending on the kind of boat used



As you can appreciate in the above picture, the way to get from Rio de Janeiro to the Island is via a coastal route first, and a boat or ferry for the final part. This route is known as “Costa Verde” (Green Coast) and is considered one of the most amazing sights in the whole country of Brazil.
